A bit about me: I am 24 years old. Reading and anything to do with books are my obsession. I have recently finished my degree in Urban Planning and moved to Ontario, Canada. When I’m not reading you can find me: checking Instagram, taking pictures for Instagram, crocheting, catching up on TV shows (The Walking Dead, Downton Abbey, Gotham, Mr. Robot, The Mindy Project, The Vampire Diaries, etc..), Pinteresting, biking (when the warm weather allows it) and mustering up enthusiasm to go to the gym or exercise at all.
Since my early stages I’ve been pretty enthusiastic about reading. The first book I learned to read was The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter.
I didn’t have many childhood friends who loved to read as much as I did. It wasn’t until my late teens, and as some friends grew older, that I found others who loved to read or were beginning to. However, I grew up with the famous Harry Potter books, always crushing on Harry and pretending Hermione was my friend. J.K. Rowling’s magical world inspired me to search for other genres of this kind and to this day, fantasy and supernatural are by far my favourite followed along by romance, mystery and non- fiction. It is easy to put blinders on and only read these though so I do try and branch out with other genres. Here are some of my favourite books (you can never have just 1):
As I grow older, my appreciation for an author who has a well written story with whimsical yet endearing characters that can keep me turning the pages has increased throughout the years. I am sure many people can agree to this. I’ve been recommending books to friends/ they come over and pick from my bookshelf library and through this blog I hope to reach as many people as I can with reviews of books I’ve read as well as other interesting things going on in the book world.
Read, Read, Read. To design an online creative space for book lovers alike to discuss reviewed books, authors and other fascinating content in the book world.
